Vaccination facilities made available on many partner farms in South Africa greatly contribute to the Health and Well-being of workers and the local community.
We received an update from the team at Remhoogte farm, in Grabouw in the Western Cape, reporting on the use of their community centre as a vaccination station:
"Remhoogte would like to share with you that our Oom Wynand Centre could not have come at a better time. It came very handy during the pandemic where it was used as a vaccination station during the vaccination process. We could accommodate hundreds of employees as well as pensioners and community members to make use of the facility during the vaccination process. This was indeed the highlight of having the facility available at such a time. We would also like to thank the Waitrose Foundation for being a part of this and making it possible to possibly save a life during this Global pandemic."
