JUNE 2024
During a visit to Montrouge Primary School outside Tulbagh, we had the honour of meeting the principal, Mr Andrews, and to see the kids who were gathered outside during a quick break between classes. In the photo here with Principal Andrews is our Waitrose Foundation Exporter Liaison, Emily Hendricks, with exporter representatives from Green Marketing and In2Stone.
We visited the school in follow up after funding support was received for various projects at the school, which included items for their library and Khanya Computer room. The white screen which connects with a laptop and is used during classes, is a huge hit and greatly improves the impact of lessons with the easy-to-use functions and visual impact. A special delivery of books was also made on the day of our visit. From the library to beautiful murals on the classroom walls, it is clear that the love of learning and reading is encouraged and supported and the children benefit from a well-maintained, creative and safe space at the school.
We look forward to more visits to Montrouge in future and we commend Mr Andrews and his extremely dedicated and passionate team of staff for all they do to benefit the learners and their families in this community. You're an inspiration!
